This blog is my reflection of thoughts and perception of Life that I've seen and felt so far, expressed in words of my poetry and also poetry that I like, love and few that inspired me.

Poetry is simply the most beautiful, impressive and widely effective mode of saying things and its importance. Hence, I treasure me with the simple scribbling that I can do.

My daddy's always with me

This was sent in an email brought tears in my eyes

Her hair was up in a pony tail,
Her favorite dress tied with a bow.
Today was Daddy's Day at school,
And she couldn't wait to go.

But her mommy tried to tell her,
That she probably should stay home.
Why the kids might not understand,
If she went to school alone.

But she was not afraid;
She knew just what to say.
What to tell her classmates
Of why he wasn't there today.

But still her mother worried,
For her to face this day alone.
And that was why once again,
She tried to keep her daughter home.

But the little girl went to school
Eager to tell them all.
About a dad she never sees.
A dad who never calls.

There were daddies along the wall
For everyone to meet.
Children squirming impatiently
Anxious in their seats

One by one the teacher called
A student from the class.
To introduce their daddy,
And the seconds slowly passed.

At last the teacher called her name,
Every child turned to stare.
Each of them was searching,
For a man who wasn't there.

'Where's her daddy gone?'
She heard a boy call out.
'She probably doesn't have one,'
Another student dared to shout.

And from somewhere near the back,
She heard a daddy say,
'Looks like another deadbeat dad,
Too busy to waste his day.'

The words did not offend her,
As she smiled up at her Mom.
And looked back at her teacher,
Who told her to go on.
And with hands behind her back,
Slowly she began to speak.
And out from the mouth of a child,
Came words incredibly unique.

'My Daddy couldn't be here,
Because he lives so far away.
I know he wishes he could be,
Since this is such a special day.

And though you cannot meet him,
I wanted you to know.
All about my daddy,
And how much he loves me so.

He loved to tell me stories
He taught me to ride my bike.
He surprised me with pink roses,
And taught me to fly a kite.

We used to share fudge sundaes,
And ice cream in a cone.
And though you cannot see him.
I'm not standing here alone.

'My daddy's always with me,
Even though we are apart
I know because he told me,

He'll forever be in my heart'

With that, her little hand reached up,
And lay across her chest.
Feeling her own heartbeat,
Beneath her favorite dress.

And from the crowd of dads,
Her mother stood in tears.
Proudly watching her daughter,
Who was wise beyond her years.

For she stood up for the love
Of a man not in her life.
Doing what was best for her,
Doing what was right.

And when she dropped her hand back down,
Staring straight into the crowd.
She finished with a voice so soft,
But its message clear and loud.

'I love my daddy very much,
he's my shining star.
And if he could, he'd be here,
But heaven's just too far.

You see he is a British soldier
And died just this past year
When a roadside bomb hit his convoy
And taught BritainĂ¢€s to fear.

But sometimes when I close my eyes,
it's like he never went away.'
And then she closed her eyes,
And saw him there that day.

To her mothers amazement,
She witnessed with surprise.
A room full of daddies and children,
All starting to close their eyes.

Who knows what they saw before them,
Who knows what they felt inside.
Perhaps for merely a second,
They saw him at her side.

'I know you're with me Daddy,'
To the silence she called out.
And what happened next made believers,
Of those once filled with doubt.

Not one in that room could explain it,
For each of their eyes had been closed.
But there on the desk beside her,
Was a fragrant long-stemmed rose.

And a child was blessed, if only for a moment,
By the love of her shining star.
And given the gift of believing,
That heaven is never too far.

Truant tears of soulful bliss

Tears of mine are so harsh and smooth,
they never seem to stop,
Tried so hard to make them stop,
but they never seem to stop,
They take me to the past and leave me in the present,
They only know to rewind with no time to carry on,
They are with me when in solace, and never seem to leave me even in the crowded street,
Don’t know what they need and what ponders them to me,
Cannot break their walls to throw them away from me,
Cannot build them up to give them safety within me,
I was thinking it is cos` of the pain you blurt in me,
But even when I’m happy about you,
they seem to kick out of me.
Am I being fooled or Am I fooling my tears,
I seem to wonder at times,
they hear my heart and understand its rhythm,
its tryst and truant of our love,
the convulsion of my spirit and mind,
its language and touch they know so well, the perception of pain with drench of humor from my soul’s eyes,
they walk through me,towards time beneath holding me tight,
Breaks the shackle of my love so true to be dried far away,
At a place only my tears know, so I conclude
They love me a lot, its vaccum is the echo my heart hears,
They’ll never stop.

What is Love….?!?!

When I see the vibrant colors of sunrise waking up life,
I feel love.
When I see green blushed trees, fragrance colored flowers,
I feel love.
When I see the ever-shining stars and phases of moonlit,
I feel love.
When I see the changing seasons filling joy and sadness,
I feel love.
When I see the blue, beautiful blue of skies and oceans,
I feel love.
When I see birds flying aimlessly free,
I feel love.
When I see the animals running wild with fear and fierce,
I feel love.
When I see the pleasant sunset soothing us to rest,
I feel love.
When I see the content hope in an expecting mother,
I feel love.
When I see the elated tears of a father holding his just born child,
I feel love.
When I see the constant confusion and sharing struggle of a couple,
I feel love.
When I see the faith of children believing they can do anything,
I feel love.
When I see the cheerful fights of siblings,
I feel love.
When I see the gushing laughter of friends,
I feel love.
When I see the innocent joy in the eyes of first love,
I feel love.
When I see the tearful happiness of sacrificed love,
I feel love.
When I see the sweat of one’s hard work to fulfill dreams,
I feel love.
When I see the broken dreams being altered constantly with conviction,
I feel love.
When I see the hopeful moving ahead inspite of pain and sorrow,
I feel love.
When I see the pride of soldiers leaving their loved ones,
I feel love.
When I see the brave marching to save as their path of life,
I feel love.
When I see the separation of hearts knowing they may or may not return,
I feel love.
When I see the musings of mystic music around me,
I feel love.
When I see the ageless expectation of the aged to embrace life lived,
I feel love.
When I see protection and care of the almighty unseen,
I feel love.

Love is the only constant alive feeling in the universe that binds life together and no language, no religion, no faith, no war, no blood, no tears, no shame, no color, no creed, no skin, no gender, no age, no time can wither away LOVE
